WestStar’s success can be contributed to its founder and president, Jesse F. Ortega. Mr. Ortega has been a leading drywall contractor in Houston and across the Unites States for the past 40 years. Formerly, working under the name Discount Drywall, Mr. Ortega felt it was time for a change due to his sons taking a permanent interest in the drywall business. Together they formed “WestStar Drywall, Inc.” a company that is prepared to offer top quality services with personnel to handle any size project and construction schedule in any state. WestStar is not the lowest bidder, but a competitive bidder, due to the fact WestStar does not issue unnecessary change orders for every small detail that may arise.

BRIEF HISTORY

Mr. Ortega has been successful in all facets of construction from insulation installation to the distribution of drywall construction supplies. Furthermore, Mr. Ortega and his late brother Raymond Ortega patented a gypsum cement formulation called “ORTECRETE TYPE II” which was installed across the United States through approved licensed applicators and in Houston under the name of Floor Crete. Mr. Ortega since has sold the patent and no longer installs gypsum cement. Mr. Ortega has built a solid reputation in the construction industry based on customer service, quality and workmanship, which he has instilled in his three sons and employees.
